What is High Desert Automotive Smog Institute (HDASI)?
HDASI is a private vocational training school specializing in training students to become certified Smog Check Technicians. We offer Level 1 and Level 2 Smog Check Procedure classes, Citation Training, Update courses, and more, all designed to meet the requirements of the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and California Air Resources Board. Our mission is to equip aspiring inspectors with the skills needed for a career in air quality and environmental health.

 

Who can enroll in your training programs?
Our programs are open to individuals with minimal or no experience (Level 1) as well as experienced technicians seeking certification or continuing education (Level 2, Update, or Citation Training). No prior automotive experience is required for Level 1, but a passion for environmental compliance and automotive technology is a plus!

Upon successful completion of our Level 1 and Level 2 courses and passing the BAR exam, you will be eligible for certification as a Smog Check Technician. We provide all necessary applications and support to guide you through the process.
